Award giving ceremonies are becoming common nowadays but the Pollstar awards for the concert industry are much different from its counterparts as it is entirely an unrehearsed program. The show is usually very attractive with very pleasant and entertaining presenters and emotional acceptance of the awards by the winners. This year’s show was even more fabulous as it was held in the famous Nokia Theater in L.A. on the 7th of February. Very warm welcomes was given to the Guests by the AEG staff and were served Champagne. Seating arrangements were done on the lobby of the four floors.
The show was started by the punch lines of the Smother Brothers. Peter and Gordon stunned the audience with the performance of their hit number “world with out Love” and also together presented awards to the winners. The presentation made by Nuno Betttencourt of the Extreme’s was even spicier with his gimmicks to attract the audience. The Artist Development Award was presented by Yankovic to Leeds. The program was all star studded and the crowd Enjoyed each and every minute of the program and the party that followed. The party also saw some major surprise guests moving around.
