Keith Urban is proud to proclaim that he is ready to be a great dad to his baby with actress and one-time songstress wife Nicole Kidman. His wife is expected to deliver their firstborn this coming July 2008.

While performing at Baltimore’s 1^st Mariner Arena, he made it known to fans his utmost excitement in becoming father for the first time. “I’m going to be a dad soon, and it only took me 40 years!” he exclaimed.

Urban is currently riding the high waves of success on his Love, Pain and the Whole Crazy Carnival Ride tour. At the Arena, he graciously accepted a purple and black Baltimore Raves onesie, or more popularly known as a babygro, from a fan. An appreciative Urban hung it ceremoniously on his microphone before belting out his famous “Somebody Like You” tune. Before the performance came to a close, he sat down at the keyboard and dedicated the song “Got It Right This Time” to “my extraordinary wife”.
