Singer Joe Cocker with the release of his “Hymn For My Soul” album recently achieved his highest chart position in ten years. Now he is to receive an OBE Honors List for services to music in the Queen’s 2007 Birthday on December 13.
Cocker will play two special programs this month. Celebrating the award, Joe will play in his hometown first time for more then thirteen years. The concert takes place at Sheffield arena on December. After the show the name of great musician will be inducted into Sheffield’s Hall Of Fame.
In 2008 Joe Cocker plans to go on a tour over New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, and of course US.

For Hannah Montana fans that missed the artist’s sold-out concert tour, the new 2008 year will bring the next best thing. 3-D concert film by Walt Disney Pictures’ entitled “Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert” will have a 1-week run starting from February 1 through February 7. Advance Hannah Montana concert tickets for the limited theatrical release are already on sale. The movie will be shown in Disney Digital 3-D.

The famous hip-hop artist Akon has pleaded not guilty after he was criminally charged after he presumably tossed a fifteen-year-old boy off the stage at a concert earlier this year. The 34-year-old performer was released on his own recognizance after he made a brief court appearance on Monday in Fishkill. Akon was charged with endangering the welfare of a minor and 2nd degree harassment. The case was adjourned until January 2008.

The Principality of Sealand, the smallest country in the world, is going to celebrate its 40th anniversary. Especially for this occasion, the official paper has launched the Sealand Awards by calling the Lords and Ladies of the Principality of Sealand. The list of the awarded includes Paris Hilton, Angelina Jolie, Britney Spears, Sasha Cohen, Pete Doherty, Tiger Woods, Daniel Radcliffe, David Tennant, Nelson Mandela and Homer Simpson.

Alicia Keys and her “No One,” is atop the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart already the second week! Timbaland’s “Apologize” featuring OneRepublic rose one place to No. 2 on the Hot 100, and competes only with Chris Brown’s “Kiss Kiss” featuring T-Pain. Flo Rida’s “Low” featuring T-Pain held at No. 4.

Lohan is thinking of increasing her popularity by recording a couple of singles with rap superstar 50 Cent. Lindsay is not satisfied with her music career at the moment – no wonder – her first albums ‘Speak’ and ‘A Little More Personal’ were minor successes. Lindsay and 50 Cent are good friends, so maybe their cooperation will present the world some new hot Top 10s.

Van Halen has re-discovered its long-forgotten mojo. The band has managed to erase many years of mediocrity and disappointment yesterday night at Arco Arena in Sacramento. Van Halen brothers decided to compete for the title of the world’s greatest rock group. Many of the band’s fans were skeptical of bringing back David Lee Roth. The musician is no longer the acrobatic sex god, who forgets the words. However, the new, more appreciative Dave has become your favorite rock and roll uncle.

Jon Bon Jovi fans will have a great opportunity to see their favorite perform at a charity concert in December. The artist will headline “The Hope Concert III” that will be held on December 21 at the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank. The concert will also feature many well-known performers, including Bobby Bandiera, Mark Pender & Richie “LaBamba” Rosenberg, Tim McLoone and The Shirleys, The Jersey Shore Rock-N-Soul Revue, Gary “U.S.” Bonds, and more. Proceeds from the charity concert will go to The Valerie Fund that helps children with cancer and blood disorders.
