The Fort Adams State Park in Newport will play host to this year’s Newport Folk Festival on August 1-3 and the festival goers will be in for some surprises this time. Trey Anastasio will be performing for the first time at the Newport Folk Festival and he is slated for first ever solo acoustic concert which will be gladly accepted by his fans at the festival. The festival goers will also be able to watch the performance of Richie Havens who will be performing at the Newport festival after a gap of 17 years. The ticket sales to this festival are on the high as fans will be able to watch musicians like Jimmy Buffett, Cowboy Junkies, The Black Crowes and many more perform.
