Trace Adkins started the new year on the east coast with the American Man Tour in Maine. He has several people opening for him on various nights. These include Bill Engvall, Bucky Covington, Kellie Pickler, and Luke Bryan.
His fan club also has pre-sale tickets for those who purchase the AMERCIAN MAN CD online. It is his second greatest hits CD. One of his singles off the new album is “I Got My Game On.” The video is hilarious and he does a great job of hamming it up while on stage performing. Another song is “You’re Gonna Miss This.” It tells the story of someone growing up and looking back wishing for a simpler time. We have all been there.
He has three shows scheduled in Las Vegas and some dates for the spring time. Check his website for more dates that were just confirmed. He is also promoting his new book “A Personal Standard: Observations and Opinions from a Free-Thinking Roughneck.” He gives his fans his thoughts on politics, parenting, being famous, and being true to you and your family. He is also appearing on the Celebrity Apprentice this season. He was the voice of a product one week and a builder the next week. He has been doing wonderfully so far on the program.

Celine Dion is in the news. She is moving from the Colosseum at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas and embarking on a world tour scheduled to start in February in South Africa. She made an estimated $385 million for the five years she performed at Caesar’s Palace. Now she is looking forward to performing again in her native Montreal.
Britney Spears has been making the rounds in the news and the tabloids. She lost custody to her two sons, and now is pregnant again with a third. She was admitted to the psychiatric ward again for a three day stay after she started acting strange and talking in a British accent to everyone. People are hoping she doesn’t follow in the footsteps of Anna Nicole Smith. She has a lot to offer the world if she could only get herself straightened out.
Aretha Franklin has been named Musicares Person of the Year. The bash will be star studded and held at the Los Angeles Convention Center. People that will be performing tributes will be Faith Hill, Fantasia, Billy Joel, Bill Cosby, and Blair Underwood. Proceeds from the show will help out others in the music industry in their time of need.

The infamous Brittany Spears and her new boyfriend Adnan Ghalib were seen together in one of the oddest places the public may expect them to be. The two were seen in the Rite Aid in Studio City in, of all places, the pregnancy test aisle. What might be even more of a mystery is that Spears denies any claims that she may be pregnant. In a statement made by Spears, it was said the pregnancy test was for a friend. It seems unlikely that Brittany would be asked to go to a place as this to do a favor for anyone. It is even more probable that she would not go here for herself and under the current light of publicity, would send a loyal subject to complete the task for her. Since, the problems began with the custody battle between her and Kevin Federline over their two sons; it seems that Brittany is going to take a final step over the edge of being sane. Apparently, she was again admitted for psychiatric observation but this visit deems a three day stay with no early release as the first time. Could this be a hoax to get more attention from the press or is it really true? If she is with child again, maybe she can finally get herself on the right track and see just what a blessing she has in being able to bring such a precious gift into the world.
