Jay-Z and Mary J. Blige will be having a 25-date North American tour that will start on March 22 at the American Airlines Arena in Miami. The concert tour will be called ‘Mary J. Blige & Jay-Z: Heart of the City.’ It is said that a co-headlined national tour featuring African American artists who are both big in the music industry has not happened in a long time, and this one is actually the first to happen in 15 years. The last tour of this kind was during the Luther Vandross and Anita Baker tour years ago. The concert tour will reach Baltimore, Philadelphia, and Boston, then go through New Orleans, Las Vegas, Houston, and Oakland in California. The first batch will end on April 16, but there will be more tour dates to be announced soon. Tickets will be on sale starting February 15. The ‘Heart of the City’ concert tour will be Jan-Z’s first extensive tour to promote his 2006 comeback album ‘Kingdom Come’ and the 2007 follow-up album ‘American Gangster.’ According to Jay-Z, they will be playing songs that are like the soundtrack to people’s lives. Both he and Mary J. Blige have spent many nights working on these songs, and they are excited to go onstage with them.
